I know there's a thread all about tyres but just gets confusing cos most are saying there good.. I only ride my bike on good weather weekends, not for commuting or anything.
Do plan on my first track day this summer.

I want tyres that I can have 100% confidence in, my bike has Michelin pilot road 3 on which it came with... Front seems ok but I'm not happy with rear... Spins some times so don't have the confidence in corners.

On the tyre thread on here I'm leaning towards the Pirelli Diablo Corsa 3... Based on Fez.57 report

Haven't used a corsa 3 but I wouldn't put that on the rear with the pr3 still on the front! You UST me going some to spin that up on the road? Is the rear knackered?

I'm normally a Bridgestone man and am currently running S20s, but the new Metzler M7RR seem to be more popular than a large haemophiliac at a vampire convention at the moment.

Dunlop D212gp pro, stick like glue, awesome tyres, but they don't like cold or wet ;)

Pirelli Rosso Corsas are a fantastic tyre. Great on both road and track, they came out top in Performance Bikes road/track test. Regarding where to get your tyres from try 'Tyre Leader' as their prices seem to be the cheapest.

Road Pilot 3's are a sports touring tyre... they'll go ok on a trackday for a beginner/intermediate, but if your going balls out you really want a dedicated sports/track tyre.

Have a look at this link http://www.biketyrebuyer.com/Press-Releases/Pirelli-DIABLO™-Rosso-Corsa-named-‘Best-Sports-Tyr

standard are 120x70x17 front and 190x50x17 rear, however I would go for the 190x55x17 rear :) as i have done with my RR5

Just spoke to a tyre guy and he asked if I have the clearance with the rear hugger for the 55 tyre? Anyone have a rr4 and fitted a 55 rear tyre without probs? I have a standerd rear hugger

RR4 with standard hugger and a 55 rear tyre here.

    No clearance issues for me.
