All the signs of a good track day. Nothing wrong with it really, the bikes are designed to be used, just as long as they are looked after (regualr oil changes, allowed to warm up properly before use etc). I would possibly use the tyre condition as a bargaining point.
That it's been ridden like it was designed to be, the seller hasn't tried to disguise his antics by slinging a new set of hoops on - so you should negotiate a discount to replace them & the bouncy bits must be set up OK.
fair enough, just trying to gauge why a bike that's been so looked after would need new chain \ spocketts at 6000 miles... HONDA CBR 1000 cc CBR1000RR-5 1000rr Fireblade any thoughts? Is it worth spending 5 hours to see as this is the time it will take? i did call the guy - he is a car dealer - took in in P/x and does not know much about bikes.
The area code looks like its local to me, I could pop along for a look of you like let you know if it's worth the drive?
His post codes RG22 5RB...but he is not around today..is that close to you? He said the tyres are good - but the pics i think tells you something different...
Just the other side of town approx 5-7 miles, I can't test ride though as just had knee replacement but can give a good look over etc if it helps. I'm still off work from the op so can do most times/days just let me know
Ouch...! no need for a ride, just a check over, tyres, condition etc...if its done 6000 it should be like new i would have thought..! appreciate the help, will let you know..as i am waiting for another guy to come back to me with an offer i made..
It seems very cheap for low miles I thought, I also thought it a bit unusual that a trader would take a bike part ex then say he doesn't know bikes when you ask questions about it, but I'm prob just reading too much into it. It's no problem for me it gives me something to do there's only so much Jeremy Kyle you can watch with the misses and mickey mouse with the kids lol
I'll tell you whats wrong with that tyre........it's not 'balled' up on the edges. Rider was a wuss, otherwise nowt up. Been on a track is all.
