Yes I know the difference is 2 before someone says it

I'm thinking of buying a PC but not sure which to go for, is there a big difference between the 2?
Is there much difference fitting one in the first place?
    Cheers
    Martin

I'm not 100% but 5 is smaller, does not need a battery supply to load maps etc and has more options to add bits like quick shifter, auto tune and eight injector control box thingy !

Also maps are stored in different format for pc111 over pcv

I need to find out more as I have a pc111 fitted to duke and only know about the pcv

If it was my money I would go for second hand pcv as the guys on here will slowly get maps to share and no one uses pc111 really on 08 on bikes

    Just fitted a PC3 to my 2012 TDM900.....lol

No Jamie has just about covered it, you get an extra throttle position to map on the PCV now 10 up from 9 but real world you would never know, unless you plan to run Autotune there is no real bonus to the PCV, you can run a map switch without the hub on the PCV so if you had two maps done you could flick on the fly from one to the other the hub costs 60 odd for the PC3. Maps are easy to convert from one to the other so no big deal... if you get a bargin PC3 get it if you have to pay bucks get the PCV...

As for your duke Jamie the PC3 is fine if its been mapped you should ask did they do a custom map for each cylinder the MAJOR factor with twins is that both cylinders are mapped as the requirements for each are unique also NEVER use other people's maps with Ducati as they are MILES apart no matter how close the spec or model. Download maps from DJ are another matter and OK for the test run to dyno.
