2004 bought April 2015 with 13,000. Now it has about 18,500 miles on it . I'm sure there are some people on here with mega mile blades and they are still going strong. If so it would be good to see whats bits and bobs they have had to replace over time. So far I have had to do the following to keep mine going: Stator rewound (known fault on my year Blade)
2011... 32,543, all done by me. Serviced every 1,500- 2,000 miles with new oil, filter, air filter cleaned and oiled, new brake fluid...ACF50 is you're friend..., and it still looks like a brand new bike bar a few stone chips on the side fairings and front.. Never needed the valve clearances doing yet either. Lovely Jubbly. Visited kens the other week for the weekend, there was 800+ miles done in a weekend.... Actually forgot to add, i had to replace the battery today as the 2nd replacement gave up the ghost when i wanted to use this morning for work..... Looks like you lot don't use them! (looks for a bit of wood to touch)
I know..i only average 5k a year in the car a year! do far more on the bike, and that's part time....mind you, 6 years of euro trips and blasts out at 400 miles a day on a sunday and nearly 100 miles a few times a week just to get tea out with the lads wangs the mileage on.
Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! I love mine but worry about racking such massive mileage up ... I do at least 1k per month hence my plan has been keep it 3 years and trade it whilst it's still worth something but I've got it how I want and it rides beautifully ... really don't want to change when the 3 years is up!
