    Only toying with the idea.
Having sold my trusted CBR600fx, I'm now considering dipping my toe into doing track days. My weekend toy is a GSXR750 k8, but there's no way I'm tracking it.
I did try the cbr once, but it just wasn't quick enough on the straights and I wasn't quick enough in corners.
What bike would you recommend and where's the cheapest place to pick one up..... .???

GSXR750 is an ideal Track Day Toy!

    Why not the Gixxer?

    Because it's immaculate.
I ended up in the kitty litter on the honda, but kept it up right and thought then....good job I wasn't on the GSXR.

    Choices choices choices!!
At the moment, I've seen a couple for about £1500. I'd rather spend a little less to be honest but which would you choose out of these? (Please bare n mind I've only ridden a CBR600fx and the gsxr).

    2000 R6
    CBR929 1999
    Gsxr600 k1
    Gsxr600 k2

    Try @wedgiewolves#223 mate.
He's building 1 just now and is well known on here.

Great lad and will sort you out.

Cheers Colin, I'm sort of thinking, buy something that I can MOT, then I don't have to run to the expense of a trailer (my mate has access to one if the worse should happen) and I want to spend as little as possible so that it's a disposable item.
Hopefully wedgiewolves may answer and give guidance. Remember this is just a dipping toe in water excercise.
