Where to look for bikes for sale

apart from the obvious sites like eBay and auto trader, where else do you all look for a new bike? Gumtree any good? Or just forums?

Usually, I go to a dealer, then Cycle Trader, then forums, eBay, etc. Not sure if you have "Letgo" in the UK, but here it is a wealth of cheap bikes.

 

Dealers can be good this time of year.

 

I use eBay and Auto Trader. Have sourced some good bikes but never the bargains that @gary1966 seems to pluck .

 

Dealers all advertise on ebay and bike/auto trader anyway so should make it easier than looking at individual dealers!

Either a low mileage blade(not the new shape) to modify or a vtwin?

 

12-16 blade Raphael? What colours/mileage/distance are you looking for? Sure we could all keep our eyes open for you

 

Thanks Liam, Im in no rush to be honest as won’t be able to ride anything for at least 4-5 weeks I would imagine? I’m just seeing what goes for what at the moment, but 14-16 I think and haven’t even thought of colours to be fair and mileage isn’t a problem either as got he last one from near Glasgow but have seen a nice black edition.

 

Ok mate will definitely keep an eye out for you on the fb sites etc. Could be a good time to buy privately in a few weeks time with the dreaded Xmas just round the corner.
