Can anyone tell me if I'm ok using halfords brake fluid or should I go out and buy shell or castrol? It says dot 4 and suitable for motorcycles so assume it'd be ok Just running it by you before I fit the new lines, thanks.

I use Halfords dot 4 and it is fine, unless you are racing and trying to boil your fluid you do not need better stuff.

Thanks Peter, that's champion it's just I've got a new bottle of the stuff at home and if I can save not having to buy some that'll be grand, funny how you start questioning yourself the older you get! Lol, if it'd of been an old bike in it would of gone no question. Ha.

Yeh you'll be fine. Any of the decent brands of dot 4 are perfect.

Will be fine Dot 4 is Dot 4 meets the same spec no matter which brand, its more important that it is new fluid as it is hgroscpic (absorbs water over time) so if its been sat opened in the garage cupboard for a year or two I would chuck it.
Just had to chuck some of my old stuff out today been there about four years I reckon!!
