Going to cadwell end of the month :dance3:

The OE qualifiers fitted really do not fill me with confidence and the rear is near gone at 1200 miles.

After a lot of reading and research I am down to three choices:-

    All 190/55/17 rear

    Metzler Interact K3

    Metzler Interact M5

    Dunlop Sportsmart

Anyone done both fast road / trackday on any of these ? What you think

I had bridgestone BT 016's on my R1 but apparently these are all better so fancy a change.

Used interacts on track, brilliant tyres, never used them on the road though, my mate had racetecs as standard on his BMW 1000rr they only lasted 800 miles

Thats why I am thinking of going with the dunlops, the life is supose to be very good for a sports tyre.

800 miles thats impresive and expensive

Could try Rossi corsas just to add to the pot, or alternatively the michellin power pures?

You find they transform the bike with the 55 profile on the rear ?

I just looked at the power pures look like a great tyre and light too, there is to much choice now, guess there all good, just need to pick one.

there all about £240 a pair as well so its not even a cost issue

I have SportSmarts and done 1 trackday and loads of road miles. Very good tyre but very expensive.

If I was to buy now I'd go for the Diablo Rosso Corsa as they have £25 cashback on them. This makes them around £80 cheaper than SportSmarts and just as good I reckon.

In the end I have gone with the Metzler interact k3's with a 55 rear.

I dont think you can go wrong with any of them at the moment got them for £225.

I honestly do not know why I buy MCN 'Tyre guide my ASS'

If you mean we will put the tyre makers sales pitch in a box and show you a picture !

Very informative, thanks once again MCN for nothing lol

Usual tosh, not happy unless saving the pothole or something equally as anal.
'Oo let's review all old Blades', yeah right, a couple of lines a two year old could pen, and then three pages advertising MCN Mart...terrific.

Its not called more crap news for nothing, as a footnote I went on a "Ride mag" day for CBR' Owners years ago at Bruntingthorpe, the editor at the time called Bertie said " I am given a brand new bike every year....any model...and a brand new car, again any model from....... HONDA!!!

I thought about this very bold statement for a while and come to the conclusion all bike mags are so tied into manufactures they'll never give a bad review on anything.

I stopped buying more crap news years ago due to nothing worth reading, unless your in the market for a new bike and want to check out the price's

Yep it's got to be taken with a pinch of salt

Any new bike which comes out is the dogs bollocks then the next year it's a pig. 2009 R1 anyone? Won the group test then the following year came last and was beaten by bikes which hadn't changed since the previous model year.

They must think the readers are morons.
