Rideout tomorrow (Sunday 25th) to Whitehaven if anyone's interested. Myself, Jason and Barney and missus will be at Devil's Bridge at 10 o'clock with a view to setting off at 10.30am. Weather should be kind to us, ride there, bite to eat, ride back, no pressure. All welcome.
Watch the seagulls Enjoy folks. A good road, with the odd one or two to catch you out. Well, it did me
Lets hope Barney ends up at Devils Bridge near Caton as he also goes to a Devils Bridge in Wales lol.
Sorry boys but we are out of this now, Been busy plastering walls in new bungalow all day and We really need to get it finished tomorrow , ready for painting next week , I'm really really sorry , ( Steve & Jason ) but it needs doing , Please forgive me , Giv has if I would go to devils bridge in Wales tut tut , , ........
Well was driving limos till 4am and now waiting for the fox and its Sunny and hot which is getting me buzzing for the Spain trip .
Well, a great ride to Whitehaven yet again, just myself and Jason and everyone else really missed out on a perfect day! Weather was spot on, absolutely no police unless they were going in the opposite direction and roads to die for! Jason brought his new Bee-Emm out to play and it just about managed to keep up with the blade His brakes work very well 'cos I watched him test them out when a BMW car cut straight across his path and momentarily caused his heart to stop! Anyway here's a couple of pics........ Myself, looking like I just got off a horse! Jason, looking like Man at C&A And another of Jason getting excited about his Spanish Trip and all the San Miguel he'll be drinking!
Nice one guys, Pleased to here you had a good ride out. I did think of you yesterday, both enjoying a quietish road environment on a bank holiday weekend, whilst on the sea front "working" what with the clear sky and the 23 degrees I even took the time and looked over in the general direction where you would undoubtedly be and I smiled and thought to myself........ The Basta's!
As Steve said Top day out and very happy with the new bike and the brakes are awesome and just as well as the car that pulled out on me what a knob i had the right of way on the main road and he was coming from the other direction turning right it really was a moment ,how many bike accidents are there where this kind of thing happens you really do need to be looking at the big picture when riding a bike as you can be the best rider in the world but when some knob pulls out on you it can easily end up for a very bad off or worse. You can tell i only had a few hours sleep looking at that first picture as i looked fecked. Cant wait now till the Spain trip with the lads and the trackday tommorow.
I certainly wouldn't be picking you for goal keeper based on that picture Steve, but it looks a cracking spot. Was it really that dead or is it just luck of the pictures?
Nope! It's never really that busy, probably because it's so far out of the way and doesn't really lead to anywhere afterwards. But as I keep saying the roads were really quiet even on a Bank Holiday weekend when everywhere else was rammed! Biking Heaven!
Every spot with water near it down here is crammed with northerners (no offence) acting like they've never seen it before and back home they've got spots like that!
We were the only 2 bikers there and last time i went was the same its a undiscovered spot for bikers, and the roads getting there are a fantastic mixture of long roads, rollercoaster roads and twisty roads and not one copper in sight. As Steve said biker heaven . And they do very nice cake and icecream.
