I am thinking of adding quite a bit of carbon fibre to the blade and I would like to know who produces the best quality and who has the best product range for a 2008 blade as I would like to buy it all from 1 company so avoid mismatches.

I know conquest carbon on here have a good range with 20% off but just wondered who else to look at

Well I have more carbon than the space shuttle on my bike now! GBmoto and zero-limits are the best I have come across.. in fact just ordered the final nose cone and side fairings from zero-limits last week.. the blade will be all carbon bar the belly pan..

Most of what people buy is wet lay shit, people don't like to pay top price so don't get pre preg for that reason, most people THINK they have pre preg and are wrong! If it's deep in clear coat it's often wet lay! Most of if not all of the carbon I have seen here is wet lay! So many people I see say oh look carbon, drool, but in fact they are looking at wet lay crap, most of it is heavier than the plastic they took off! All these all carbon bikes look naff IMO, different weaves and poor quality.

Pre preg or nothing, and it's easy to tell pre preg is wafer thin and often has a nice label pressed into the carbon layup.

Well, if most have the "wet lay crap" on here, then I think your wrong as it looks ace. I've got a mixture of pre preg and others, autoclaved and none, and it all looks great.

my ilmberger frame covers is prepreg, the hugger and chain guard is not, I prefer the look of the "crap stuff" in comparison.

Oh, and a lot on here like carbon inc me...I couldn't give a toss if it's wet lay, virgins clunge or fuckawl.
If I wanted to save weight, I'd have a big shit before a rideout.

Is there a lot of weight difference between plastic fairings and carbon ??
I can lift all the plastics from my bike with one hand so I can't imagine there being more than 10kg.
Carbon does look nice, but as opposed to ABS plastic makes for a very expensive gravel scoop.

Haha, ok ok so I read my own posts and think what a twat Ha Ha so I admit I'm no good at words. maybe I shut my gob and go ride the bike hard to do this forum shit I'm crap at it

what I mean is half the carbon you see is poor, poor weave, poor clear coat, only one layer, painted black to hide rear and so on. it's better than plastic sometime.

Well after 2 weeks the King Carbon hugger arrived feels sturdy but has a few scuffs on it.Now its fitted seems ok all holes lined up ok and seems sturdy but we will see how we get on .Its a shame about the scuffs but you really have to look for them to see them but its things like that would make me look elsewhere for other carbon bits
