maybe that the fairings need drilling on the 04/5 as the 06/7 are a bit more open?

if it is that (and cant see what else it could be as the mounts are the same on the chassis) then as long as you dont mind drilling your fairings then you should be fine.

obviusly this is all theoretical as i'm only assuming :)

If the engine mounts are the same, they will fit, but ya DO have to drill the fairings on an rr5.

The r & g site also says that the rr6 needs drilling too. The reason i ask is 'cos the rr6 fairings fit the rr5, so why wouldnt the crash bungs?

If they are the engine mount ones I would say they fit, how can they not? I cant see the thread being different?

Well I received an email back from R&G today, simply saying that they are not compatible. However, I had already ordered them and went ahead to fit them anyway. And guess what... They fit :-D

You have to drill holes in the fairing.

Yeah, as long as you can line the holes up. Start with a a small hole and work your way up so you can make fine adjustments towards where the hole will sit. I find a dremel drill with sanding wheel works best.

I wish I'd waited a few weeks before I fitted the round ones as the aero ones look far better!

Could you add a pic of each side to the thread. I just wanna check that they are in the same position as mine.
