Eeee when I were a lad. When off on our travels I used to look at other bikes' mileage, but you can't anymore because of the new electronic odometers.
Yes you're right Kev.................................................................... You're a proper saddo..........
I was informed in no uncertain terms that they were Train Enthusiasts and not anorak train spotters when I saw some at the station!
Pointless checking them in those days. Chances are they were miles out. In those days the speedo drive was usually taken from the front wheel, and I knew a few blokes that would pull the spindle out so that it wouldn't record your milage. Not sure how they managed without speedo's though
When the new "66" freight diesel loco was commissioned and designed back in the late 90's into 2000, they asked the drivers what ergonomics and equipment they would like to see incorperated into the cab. The drivers universally asked for airconditioning as the temperature in the cab was usually freezing in the winter and baking in the summer in all the existing locos of the time. What they got was..... larger opening windows and a bigger fan heater Just thought I'd throw that into the discussion.... I'll just grab my coat then...............!!!! (Shuffles out the door holding flask and sandwiches)...
It wasn't just me, my mates did it too. Rely...rr, I was also watch a video of trolley buses yesterday. I really am a saddo.
