So, i'm waiting on a call from the dealer to put a PX price on my RR8. There is some good deals out there with new 2011's at £10k on interest free so i'm waiting to see what the cost to change is......Expecting a call back shortly. What do you guys think, what's going to be the cost to change and should I? Main motivation for me is thinking of the more expensive services coming up, plus in a few years the bike will be say 7 years old and the cost gap to upgrade then will be even wider.
Hi Peter, its not actually P&H as they couldn't get that low, plus they only had the 11 HRC which isn't my favourite scheme. If they had a 10 HRC then it'd be a different story!
No, its a good question and one i've knocked back and forth.......main reason being i'll be looking at an additional £2k+ by the time i add in finance. So this would shift cost to change from say £4.5k to £6.5k, and I suspect by the time both bikes are 4 years old they'll have similar values. I know its not all about the numbers, but for me over the next year or two I cant ignore them. Its a shame really as I saw a photo of the 2012 HRC with seat cowl and hugger the other day and it looked really really good, much better than the stock library images.
Couldn't find it although I think i recall seeing it myself....it was advertised as 0% for 2 years and then incrementally increasing APR's depending on length of terms financed......can't find it now so don't know which dealer it was now - maybe they realised it was too good to be true?
I'd do a deal to include loadsa goodies, Cost them a lot less than you and a big saving in the long run???
Try Marshalls in Peterborough last time I popped in they had their haedsin their hands as sales were well down, they might be up for a deal. ask for Addie or Phil both good guys. good luck
OK, so spoken to a couple of dealers this afternoon and best i got on mine was £5.4k for an RR8 with 11700 miles. What do you think, i think that feels OK considering? (not considering how much i paid, but considering what retail prices are). So, I think its come down to a 2011 repsol model with sportspack for just shy of £11k or a 2012 for £11.3k plus i'd need the hugger/cowl/exhaust which i may get a deal on. If it was your money what would you do - stay as i am, go for the 11 or 12? I ned to decide by tomorrow really. cheers
I am having 2012 on march 2nd, I have kept the exhaust, hugger seat cowel off 2010 hoping they will fit.exhaust will be fine, not sure if hugger will fit with shock and seat cowel I have no idea.
What colour have you gone for, and are the 10 colours a match? I was looking at photos and I think they look slightly different in style- doesn't mean they won't fit though I guess? You must be getting excited now yes? The more I look at the 2012 the more I'm thinking that's the right choice even though it will cost more. I'll sleep on it.
