Anybody know if honda are going to do a winter service deal not sure if they still do it now but I remember them doing a deal last year or maybe the year before for £99? I just called my dealer to see about a service and they want £180 I asked if honda were going to be doing that offer again and he wasnt sure? The bike hasnt even done a 1000 miles since the last service? So really grudge paying that for an oil change and book stamp!
Honda's current Winter campaign. "If an MOT is booked during Jan 2013 – Feb 2013, the customer will receive a free Honda Health check & free 12 months Honda Roadside Assistance."
If it ain't under warranty , do it yerself! They hardly do it right anyway. oil filter, oil , what else do you get for £180?
mot's not due till 2014! oh well guess i'm just going to have to pay to full price to get my service done!:-( Is a service due every 12 months/4k cant quite remember?
My bike was due a service which was either 12 months or 6000 miles I had all ready done an oil and filter change at about 3000 miles and it runs well my problem is I can never get time off in the week and although I could book a sat in advance believe it or not its been frosty for about two months now inc this sat so I keep putting it off and needless to say it will be out of the two year warranty in June so do I get it done or do the oil and filter change and just tough it out ,forgot to say I also did the air filter change when we all did the group buy.
Slightly different when it's new and you are worried about warranties and re sale value mate. Get it done, stamp the book, then use it! All that money is wasted to then tuck it up again. It's so much money owning a bike, criminal not squeezing every lasting minute out the thing
Ha its not tucked up dude it must be having worked all week in the cold there is not much appetite to go pouncing about on a Sat morn for a service but agree it needs doing.
I know what you mean just started wearing the wife's clothes when she goes out .Do you think this has started through riding the bike?
Was referring to megs comment and bob only doing 1000 miles since last year... Then pondering about servicing / using. Hadn't seen your post geez. Megs - you need to remember that you don't have to neglect a bike to use it all year, keep clean and enjoy it. Some folk do more miles, every month, all year, and still look after their bikes better than you.
It comes from being a scaredy cat tart. Get on yer fookin bike and ride it in the snow and salt to the fookin stealers. Get it sorted, ride it home, park it in the living room and watch it dissolve
Jumbo, everyone looks after their bikes better than me. But I ride my bike, all year round, in all weathers and I will not stay in just coz it's a bit cold and damp. Bikes are fer ridin, not fookin polishin!
Yeah but accept that some people ride their bikes every week more than you, better than you, and keep them clean at the same time! Tbh I'm sick of your stupid fucking comments that people who like their bikes, pay a lot of money for them, keep them clean, but don't use them. Wake up you idiot! Last time I saw you, you were on you amazingly shiny hog. And for the 30 minutes break we had (wed already done 300 miles) you rode past rye cafe 4 times!!!! Where had you been, to the end of the high street and back? Pleeeeeeze...
I think your missing the point Megs. Just because some people like to keep their machines in good condition it doesn't mean they don't ride them. I promise you that I ride more miles than you every year, in all weathers. If I decide to try to keep my machines in good condition it doesn't make me a tosser, just someone that enjoys doing so. Toilets are for shiting in, do you not clean yours? Think all this constant reference to polishing and your claim of not doing so is nonsense, ive seen your hog and its definately polished. Besides, you obviously are a champion at polishing your knob. Why don't you change the record and stop havin a dig at those that either don't ride their bikes all year or decide to keep them well. It's their choice.
