I just washed and cleaned my wheels, polished bit of the bike before it started pissing down with Rain!

Anyway, noticed marks on my nose come and rear cowl, including the seat cowl..

What is it, and where has it come from..it was not there last week.

    It's a rr5, so not under warranty.

How can I get it out?

Odd not seen that before looks like blooming

"Blooming is a milky film that appears over the finished colour coat as it dries. It's due to water condensing on the paint surface as it dries in a cold or humid environment. A paint shop will normally be heated to 20C, but most DIY painters will avoid the problem simply by painting during the summer on a dry day.

To evaporate, the solvent takes heat energy from the coating and substrate, dropping the temperature on that surface below the Dew Point. If the Relative Humidity is close to the Dew Point already, moisture condenses out of the air onto the paint. Cellulose paints had fast evaporating solvents acetone and toluene, making them very prone to bloom.

Blooming tends to start to be a problem below 10 degrees C and can be avoided to some extend by anti-blooming thinners which are slower drying than conventional thinners."

I would leave it for a while see if it is moisture and if it evaporates in the sun/heat (but you might need a Summer for that)

Slowly hopefully it will dry out.Warm dry garage or leave it out in the open air.Once you have it back to how it should look ie no milky look.Get it sealed by getting a new coat of laquer on it.Water has got in through stone chips or cracks in the paintwork.Jet washes are known to cause this. The Bad news is sometimes you cannot get it out and it spreads opening larger patches which will eventually blow the laquer.Respray would be the only remedy.Sorry fella.

I don't think you would get blooming on an headlight so it must just be a reaction with the polish and the rain .Quick Tcut very lightly should help .

What do you use to wash and wax etc? Ask Stu at cox Honda on here for new prices of cone and tail you may find much cheaper than a respray, nose cones and tails for rr5 do show up in eBay so not the end of the world mate don't let it get you down. Truck wash and of sorts can cause milking like that?

Thanks guys..I usually use meguiars NXT wax..but I have only had the bike like a week so not really washed / waxed it yet..waiting for the weather to get better..

I did find out the prices a while back, and forgot that it would seem its cheaper to buy a new cone / rear pannel then to get mine repaired..+ il have that brand new look..

Il get the vin numbers across over in a few days.
