just had a phone call off daughter cars pulling to left all time not just under braking, now yesterday it failed its MOT had n/s suspension bush and o/s suspension arm replaced she swears blind car was fine so whats gone wrong im hoping to take it back to garage tomorrow (if there open) But im pushed for time fly on holiday sundat 1st thing and if i cant sort it means leaving her wifes car and messing about changing reg plates over for airport parking thanks
Well, if they hadn’t been mucking around with the n/s suspension I would have said flat/semi flat tyre being the issue but it’s too much of a coincidence. Others will who know what they are talking about will be along later no doubt who can offer better advice.
Tracking rod arm may need adjusted. They should have checked the tracking after some suspesion work. Get it in to another garage for a check. Shouldn't cost any more than £30 to get the tracking done.
+1 any suspension bushes, suspension arms (wishbone) replacement must be tracked when fitted.The car may have been tracked with a worn wishbone or bush before.So putting something new on will tighten one side up causing the tracking to go off.If you don't get it tracked the tyres will Shed on the outer or inner of the two front tyres.Why the garage has done this and not tracked it is not good practice.
Get it to a quick fit first thing Dave. Guaranteed they'll be able to track it in the time you've got, then present the bill to the first garage.
Check the work that's been done to make sure nothing's loose, check tyre pressures are correct, Check suspension compression & rebound. (Press down on corner of car & release - should compress, rebound, settle without bouncing) If these are fine then tracking.

Those tyres are royally fooked mate!! (again pointing to tracking probs) That and the tracking rod end looks past it's best.
That could be down to the calliper being took off and back on again from fitting the wishbone/suspension arm. The discs do look a little rusted and could be catching the pads with the lip from the wear. If it were me I'd at the very least file the lip on the disc down and file a chamfer on the pads. Again I'd have some questions about the garage it was taken to. Why not at the very least take the car for a test drive after work was done??
It has definitely not been tracked the nuts holding the track rod ends have not been touched ! They take a lot of undoing and lots of releasing oil, get it tracked ASAP. The squealing might be the disc backing plate hitting the disc, easy to bend whilst fitting ball joint , Very unprofessional job don't go back to that garage , well go back with the bill from a tyre fitter for the cost of the tracking.
just got back as suspected they could nt do owt as they didnt av a laser set up,so off to a proper place and alls well £15 and its fine now thanks
So they replaced the parts and set up by eye and guess work. Sounds a real pro setup Dave. Wonder how they managed to track, toe and castor before the laser was invented? What counts is you can cross it off your snag list and get into the holiday vibe. You jammy git.
