Just bought some yoshimura case savers and the timing cover, has anyone installed these, and do you need to drain oil etc? I was going to go carbon, but thought it might be carbon overload, so went for yoshimura.:becky:
You won't have to drain the oil mate , just do it on the side stand so it is leant over . How much was the set if you don't mind me asking ? they are the bronzy coloured ones are they ?
Yeah, bronze. They where £168 for the case savers, timing cover and I had to order the oil filler to go with them didn't I? Lol! Vino, have you got a pic of your bike with them fitted please?
Yep. Just check the album on my profile http://1000rr.co.uk/members/vino-albums74.htm I've also got the new style bar ends, oil filler cap, S1000RR stand bobbins & the yolk nut (bit of a theme going on).
No idea mate. I took the lazy option & got the dealer to fit them when I got my bike serviced last. Shouldn't be too difficult though....
5 minute job si, put the bike on side stand for the timing cover, and just three allen bolts either side for the case savers dead simple. enjoy
I got mine from here steve: So Many Roads The yoshi stuff isn't listed on his website, but he does do them....his site just needs updating. His name is Dave, and tell him si sent you, he's a good mate of mine.
A lot od the stuff is a pain in the arse to get. I had to get my yolk nut shipped over from a dealer in the US. Shipping cost the same as the nut cost to buy.
