I've recently put the yoshi R77 on the blade in place of stock exhaust. I've noticed now that engine is a bit lumpy at low revs when riding through towns at 30mph. Once above 4000 revs it's okay. I am assuming that the yoshi has affected the fuelling at low revs. What route do I go down now, is it power commander or is it possible to have fuelling reset to yoshi can ? Thanks guys and gals.
Hi mate there are so many posts of this type it's worth a quick search on the forum. Ideally you need a remap or fit the baffle as that can also make it better. Mine has been hunting for last 2months and 2track days with no issues but have dyno session planned for end of month
I have put baffle in to see if that makes any difference, good job I looked at the exhaust noticed that the lower frame of the shock had been catching on the wires of the lambda sensor, and had rubbed the outer sheath off two wires.
PC5, eliminate the lambda sensor and map for the pipe. The dynojet map even with the baffle in is significantly richer, so your bike is running lean.
I have the yoshi on my blade, lovely sounding pipe. I would expect it to be "lumpy" and ahve a hunting idle due to a lack of back pressure. When the bike is first started from cold it should run nice and smooth, after you've blown out the cobwebs and come to a stop though it will probably be hunting again (usually on mine it only deviates 200/300 revs when hunting if that. I got a PCV for mine, tried the standard R77 map for a 2009 Blade from dynojet and it was fcuking dreadful! All over the place, so Si. was nice wnough to send me his custom map, that ran the bike much better all the way through the revs. However even with Si.'s map the idle was still hunting and it's just something I've learnt to live with. If you're really not happy I'd start with a PCV and see how you get on with the generic map for that exhaust, if like mine it didn't run quite right then go down the custom map route. Cheers
