Hi all, Just joined the site so this is my first post. I am just about to fit a Yoshimura R77 silencer and link pipe to my 2008 Blade. Can anyone tell me what I will need to do with the standard system's control cable for the exhaust valve/flap ?
Any help or advise would be great, Cheers. Tim.

just remove it altogether as it isnt needed.
this shows you how to set the servo after so you
    dont get any alarms

What phantom said, just chuck it and make sure you wind the servo motor back to where it was!

If it helps with your confidence I fitted mine myself the other week and took me about an hour because I was faffing about double checking everything I was doing and then wanted to remove it because I thought I had missed something cos it went on so easily ;)

Fitted the Yoshi R77 tonight, was really straight forward.. sounds fantastic but the engine revs now fluctuate between 1000 & 1250 at idle and sounds a bit rough. Its also a bit lumpy at low speed. Any ideas anyone????

This is what happens them all.all the after market cans
Exaggerate this behaviour. For lumpy response fit a
    Power commander.

You running it with baffle out?
If so, you may need a pcv and custom map to sort the fuelling out, which it will do nicely.

nearly everyone i know that has a yoshi with baffle out, the bike still hunts at tickover, that's with a pcv and map fitted too, but it will sort the fuelling out and stop flat spots.

Cheers, thought as much!! Might try it with the optional tube/baffle fitted and see if that helps.

Mine also hunts with or without a baffle. Just need to get the custom remap to fix as Si mentioned but doesn't cause any issues for me otherwise ;)

SORTED ;) Fitted the 'low volume' insert this morning, also found that 2 of the exhaust sensor wires had worn through onto the suspension linkage.... dooh!!! repaired the wires, and routed correctly this time:confused: Road test and all is good.... no more hunting at idle, still sounds amazing and goes like hell... Happy days
