any feedback for the 2012 zx10r thinking of getting one i just cant get on with the bmw so need a change again unfortunately thanks
I have the 2014 which is just about the same and absolutely love it although that said, i think its more track focused than road. If i was going for a track focused bike then the zx10 is perfect but if it was a more road going bike i wanted then it would be the Blade...
cheers guys never got on with the front end of the beemer gilesy whoever had it before me fiddled about with the suspension big time did get a suspension set up down at knockhill but i feel as if shes not eager to turn into corners gave few mates a shot and they cant find anything wrong i think its just in my head now feck knows its a pity as the bike is an animal
Good power mate, on par with the beemer, i had a 3 hour test ride on the beemer and for me theres no real difference...
that sounds good bud the bike i was looking at has decat pipe as well so should free more power handling wise is it good
The front end is a bit suspect with the Beemers up to 2014 it seems. One of the Rags has ridden the new 2015 model and have proclaimed the front end a big improvement apparently. The front end of the ZX10R is exceptional and feels better than my Blade did despite running the same Showa BPF forks. Power wise the ZX10R is a tadge behind the Beemer in the mid range but it has a better Ram Air effect at the top end. I'd test ride one before you bail out of the Beemer though if you only do road riding.
thanks sinewave had a go on my mates 2013 beemer fantastic i know the 2011 bm had slower steering i think i was spoiled with the old repsol im defo getting rid of it i just cant gel with it
Looks great that Rab and has obviously not been ridden hard by the previous owner judging by those H U G E Chicken strips!
Handling is faultless imo, I've done less than 1000 miles on it and only half a day on track but the handling was every bit as good as the Blade..
And it's a 2012? Kinnell! Mines on 500 now and that's shyte for 6 weeks ownership from new! Get it bought matey!
im sorry i parted with the blade it was payed in a year should have kept it and traded in for an sp same old story you always think the grass is greener on the other side
Grass is def greener on the kwak side.... Wether it's better or not, you'll have to decide Personally for the road. I'd go buy another blade. But variety and spice and all that
Well I have to agree with Matt about it being more track focused , for the road it wasn't for me, bought another Blade and couldn't be happier, the kwak hasn't got anywhere near the blade's bottom end or midrange, but boy when you get it singing that top end is something else, couldn't fault the handling, but comfort wise it leaves a lot to be desired, but then if we wanted pure comfort we wouldn't be riding sports bikes would we? I did 700 and odd miles on my 2014 and that was enough for me, I could do that every other day on a blade every body to there own I suppose if it's what you want go for it. Jase.
