Took my mates '08 ZX10R to Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon park yesterday for a few photo's/ What do you think?
Used 2 SB600's. 1 above on a tri-pod pointing to the ground and the other on the ground pointing at the bike. The day was a bit bright but a little camera manipulation sorted that right out. Might wheel the CBR out for a few snaps too.
Very nice shots but my eye keeps getting drawn to the exhaust which I do not like at all. I'd have preferred it with the standard, pretty nasty exhaust or one which isn't canted so far back.
I liked the desaturated one best Tyres at night are also hard to separate from the background. What you could do - instead of lighting the tyre, pool some light on the tarmac behind it to bring the black tarmac up a stop or 2 I see you have only 2 flashes, so you'd have to stack exposures or you could do a long exposure and light paint with mini softboxes or a torch Good explanation here (althought their picture is overlit - no real shadows to give depth) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMpqoTv6icI
Now THAT ^ is what I call a professional's post! When I grow up I want to be able to speak like that. I'm 44 and 1/4.
