C-ABS system bled successfully

I seem to remember that there is something 'Brake' related situated behind the exhaust headers?

 

Yep, the front c-abs power unit, which you can see just above the oil filter below.

 

The placing of that unit is mental...its so hot there!
It like having your cock in your armpit!!

 

I agree, you couldn't place it anywhere hotter or more awkward! As someone else has mentioned, if only the bleed valve was facing outwards instead of inwards, you wouldn't then need to remove the radiator or the exhaust system to bleed it



I've got some silver reflective tape somewhere; I turned the place upside down looking for it, could I find it, could I f*$k Might have some lerking about at work.

 

Poorly designed location due to massive heat transfer and also for poor ease of access for servicing/bleeding. My bike hadn't covered more then 4,000m before i started to get issues. I beleive the heat transfer speeds up the brake fluid degradation massively compared to a non c-abs equipped bike.

Mr Honda must of let the YTS lad's loose on it, not you would have thought on their top flight sportsbike. After all the r&d that went into this c-abs system, they could have easily located it elsewhere.

 

What a great cabs knowledge base this is becoming; well done!!

 

I've learnt a lot about my Blade thanks to this here forum, there are some very knowledgeable people on here aways willing to help out with advice.

 

Unfortunately it's been 'forced' on us by such a shocking design!
