Looking good. I hope to get out and do some work on the Eunos Saturday I'll get some Pictures.. I've go the turbo and a big box of parts so I've got allot of work to do!! Ozz
if it was only used on track then I would consider it but as I tour and use it on the Mway I would never fit a Motorbike engine. know too many who have built a kit car with a bike engine and sold it after a short while, low torque and high revs are no fun on the motorway or touring bloody fun for a quick blat or trackday. Both of which I've driven a locost with a R1 lump in
tryed one one with busa 1.5 turbo engine (was my engine ) and swear you re right! love 7 and derivated , but i m not owning a car licence for europe
Hoping to finish off the bodywork this ŵeek and get the paints network week. Ready to Spain. Just need to prep the garage and hope it does not get too cold
Will be painting the scuttle Saturday . Then once done I can fit the screen Picked up my pain today. £48 per ltr for the blue pearl
Spent a good few hours today spraying the scuttle/ dash up today. Once finished I can fit the screen As well as covering the car the tool box needs to get covered Last bit of prep After high build primer goes gray primer only using a hobby compressor 3 coats if high build primer, 4 gray primer, 8 of blue and 6 clear coat
well the match is bloody good considering the car was painted 10 years ago and it looks better in the flesh then on from my mobile pics next job this spring re-spray the track fairing again and happy how it came out when it's sprayed in jan in my garage lol
I always tended to find vehicles sprayed with 2 pack paint tends to last better than the OEM with regards to fading or yellowing allowing getting a better colour match years later, but I tend to put it down to the panels getting more coats of uv protective clear coat than whats on there from factory. Only used 1 part cellulose once to do a single stage white coloured vehicle and tbh I find it's just easier to get a nicer finish with the more poisonous 2 part system!
I have never used water based stuff as it requires too much fuss which makes it difficult to work with outside a designated spray booth. The cellulose stuff is what's in rattle cans but can be bought in larger tins.
Well forgot to update this but the bodywork is almost done Very happy with the results and better than before, but still lots to do
Looking fantastic mate!! Deffo wanna get one of these in a few years time, keep trying to get my kicks in terrence at the mo would love something like this. Bet it drives amazing
It's not as fast as a bike but u get such a different buzz from driving it. People won't way at u on a bike but in this you get noticed even if your not trying. Best but it I built it. And on my last trip out before the winter I took I to over my favourite road I know many bikers use. Only bikes I seen was to I caught up and eventually they pulled over for me to pass
Right my eye op tomorrow so won't be doing much for a week. Last few days I've been sorting out the front cycle wings. They are carbon and u don't want to drill and use a bolt so have used tiger seal then after 48 hours fiber glassed Over the top. Taking a while to do each side but not worth rushing Also going to clean and paint around wheels now I used panel degreaser before applying the fiber glass and it's sold now
New tank arrived today . Must say its a piece of art and very pleased fuel outlet on the right Also has a return on the top if I fit TB. Air valve and drip try
That tank is very bling I like!! Here are some of my My Eunos, pretty slow going at the moment lots of wiring & fabricating. On track at Bedford November last year. She handles sweat, already having thicker anti roll bars, adjustable shocks, limit slip diff, & bigger brakes. just needs a bit more POWER! So all the inlet & fuel injection removed, The inlet manifold has been cleaned & re-lacquered, currently drying in an oven at work! Oil cooler now in place. It doesn't look like much but this bundle of wires allows me to ditch the original ECU and run a megasquirt II. I'll be able to plug the car into a laptop and have full control over everything. Its a bit of a mission but once the turbo is installed will be well worth it. I'll be working on her over the weekend so will take some more pic's Ozz
