The top insert goes into a lug which replaces the engine mount nut which is part of the kit we supply, the bottom pick up point is through the swing arm. My buddy had another brand just like this one I think the original German maker of them. Can't remember the name. His fell off the two pins. Another manufacturer uses the safety pin for top insert so no chance if bike falling off.
I think you are possibly talking about the Bursig which is a German copy of our lift and is manufactured by Sumo Moto in China using poor quality materials. Your bike is 100% safe on our lift due to the way the lift in engineered, we use high grade tool steels supported with test certificates which includes using a memory steel plate which allows the pins to change direction. Once more than 50kgs is loaded onto the lift you would need to unload the weight of the bike to unlock it

Yes my friend. I am the inventor of the single post side Lift. The intellectual property rights belong to me. I still have the first one I ever made on show in our workshops in Leeds. There we were trying to get the front wheel out of my GSXR750 slabside. I still own the bike as well (C reg). Bought it new the year my eldest daughter was born. I didnt claim all the invention though,,, it uses an archimedes lever, first invented in the 700's I believe by the man himself to lift dead weights onto ships, it gives the load a soft start and increases the load at the tipping point. I also had the assistance of some knowledgeable old school Engineers, but all in all it is mine. A light shone down and a voice said to me, "are you still dicking around with that side lifter?"
