A humans 'fuzzy logic' would easily decipher an inverted plate. It just struck me that it might prove indecipherable to a machine.

Are you sure? I thought (at least with some cameras) the process was, unless disputed, fully automated and human judgement completely removed from the equation. The wage-bill of all those 'operatives' sitting there reviewing the thousands(?) of photos generated every day must be prohibitively expensive if indeed they exist at all.

Sorry, let me re-phrase. In situations where the number or clarity of the picture is in question, they are then looked at by people.

So as these insidious new style gantry camera's cover the country we are now watched 24/7 - 365 and will be driving like worker ants to and from our min wage jobs to keep the toffs at Westminster in moat's and duck ponds. Oh Joy.

Ah, now that's clear, logical and reasonable T.C. Best register my next new 'blade in somewhere like Moldova or Turkmenistan where I've noticed that displaying a VRP seems to be optional. ;)

Oh well. Good job then that, in reality, I'm a hard-working, law-abiding citizen who likes to be told what to do eh?:p

Hoping I can do a speed awareness course option but you can only have one of those every three years. Going to be close as the one I did before was in 2011. Sept I think but might have been later. Will wait and see.
