Look what my wife just got me on Ebay....

I also was watching these, i had a set fitted to my 600RR and they were great!!!!!!! The brake light switch was easy to modify as i took mine appart and connected it to the Gilles switch so was easy to revert back to standard when i sold the bike.

Karens just texed me to say "my new toy has arrived"!.
Looks like i may be fitting them tonight!

 

What you got Gilles rearsets and you didnt tell me............. thats it, if there arnt Pic's first thing tomorow your in so much trouble mister !!!!

Also could you please measure the gear change rod before you fit it for me please, need to work out if i will need to order another one to go with the HM shifter if I go with the gilles rearsets or I hope its the same lenth as the OE Rod (but I doubt it)

HELP......
I have fitted the LH side no probs.
Does anyone know if these are supposed to fit the Blade with the Leo GP Pro exhaust on?
The fit just doesnt seem right.
Anyone got a leo and VCRs fitted?

 

got them on but need to make a bracket to hold the exhaust on.



you can see the exhaust bracket missing in this shot. I will fit the CF heel plate when bracket is made

 

Ahhh ha .... that's the same as when I fitted my Leo with VCR's

I had to make a bracket as well . There was no way the lovely carbon one would work with the VCR's .
I made one that was OK in the short term ... then when I was bored I made a better one .... still got it somewhere

Ive cut a template for the bracket.
You dont have any photos of the bracket you made do you?

 

I've just had a good look around my pics and can't find any that show the bracket . Soz

But its in the bike shed so I can get it tomorrow . The better one was a decent thickness of ally with a 90 degree bend with a slight twist

It is about the width of a lolly stick and attached to the rear bolt only

 

ive made a mock up bracket today and seems ok.
Will make a stainless one soon.

 

Your going to love them Steve. Just make sure you glue the black plastic end caps on, I used blue loctite.

 

Good call Dave .... I lost one of the caps ..... Cheap enough to replace but a spot of glue deffo

 

will do the same then.

Finally fitted them.
They look really good.
Made and fitted the exhaust bracket today.

HEALTH WARNING !!!

Its dangerous being on a computer at work and being very bored and looking over old threads by stevebetts (who I hold fully accountable for my actions, due to posting up such great pics of his rearsets).

I was just minding my own business, when I have just accidentally bought some black Gilles VCR Rearsets from Calsport, this could seriously damage my health if my wife ever finds out !!

Just tell her it is my fault.
I love the bling of the VCRs, but i am finding the position a bit less suitable for me than the standards.
I am seriously considering selling them and putting the standards back on.
