I wouldn’t have thought it needs to go round the corner. It just needs to go over the bump and on the straight bit so you can put the hose clip back on.
Possibly - but in that case it’s the wrong shape, there’s a pre-made curve in it - you can kind of see the kink there would be here:
This website seems to have a couple of pictures of the hoses fitted to the bike. https://racebikebitz.com/Honda-CBR-1000-RR-HRC-08-11-Samco-Silicone-Hose-Kit?search=Cbr1000rr
Finally got to get the bike mapped, can’t recommend pcr performance highly enough, good bunch who know there stuff
So the curve in the hose looks the same but the connector on the rad looks very different. In that image it’s almost as if the connector comes straight out rather than curved. In any case I got it on in the end but it’s not sat particularly well. Doesn’t seem to be leaking but we’re off for a spin today to double check
@BladeOfGlory ?? There are a few options for the fireblade depending on year, also an extra option for an HRC radiator. I really can't imagine a Samco hose fitting like that mate, they're normally bang on.
Definitely ordered the right one so unless they sent me the wrong bit. All the other hoses are spot on, just that one that’s a bit waffy
I’ve emailed the seller (Reactive Parts) to see what they say about it, waiting to hear back. Probs a good idea, I’ll email samco directly too
speak to Racebikebitz.com as they helped me out when I did my 2007 Blade. They had one kit listed for 04-07, but some of the hoses were different for the 06-07 and I had to send off my originals for them to copy. I think they maybe the UK distributor for Samco
So I’ve just found the issue and I don’t why it took me so long to realise…. Basically I swapped the rad because the original one is looking pretty rough and the connectors are different - the original one has a straight out pipe and the replacement has a curved pipe. Need to check with the bloke I bought it from why it’s different but might need to put the old rad back on to make it fit properly
