There is only one exhaust for the CBr1000RR or indeed any bike. AKRAPOVIC. Highest quality. The rest are garbage. SOme slightly crap. Other complete junk.

My partner agrees^^^^^^ akropovic as fitted to the track bike, full system 161 bhp and makes 98db's without a baffle good for most trackdays.

Not really a good advert, I know all dyno's are different, mine made 162bhp with different intake, Yoshi slip on and PC3

Like you say tho Tezza every dyno reads different yours could be over reading by 10bhp and theirs under reading 10 giving a 20bhp difference! Only way to know for sure would be a power run same place, same day

Could make an interesting forum meet........

My full system with air box mods makes 176 best run, constant runs of 171, stock rr4/5 used to make 151! rr6/7 156, higher compression revised intakes extra intake springs and higher Rev limit contributed to more power. My bike made 175 where a new SP made 171! so numbers don't mean much as that SP feel way stronger than mine.
With the full Akra in Ti you also loose a massive amount of weight! Running my bike at 13.2:1 I get a healthy 171 all day, we don't know peak power at full ram air as the dyno can not give me a head on 180mph intake. Shame as the Autotune shows it correcting the AFR up there when run at that speed in the open air, maybe she peaks a little more who knows.

I think this is the way I wanna go. This mivv x plus sounds awesome. Is there anything I need to know before I take the leap and make the purchase. Any recommendations on where to buy it from??

I have to say thats a fine choice buddy ;) ! I got mine from this guy on ebay specialbike.alfio on eBay
It ran fine with the baffles in straight out of the box. Sounds ridiculous without the baffles (in a good way), but needs a bit of dyno time and a Powercommander to get their full potential !
I stuck another little sample of sound (baffles in) on my "Operation Blackness" thread last night if you want another listen..
If you have any other queries or want any other pics or anything, just PM me dude !

Thanks blackness, I've put a message to the seller, I did find a uk stockist. I did read that it is set up for standard fuelling but the pcv looks inevitable. Had the bike on the Dyno this week and got 150bhp.

Cool... A few more gee gee's to be tempted from her I'm sure ;)

While your at it mate, i suggest you might want to smash the granny out of the cat ! You'll get better noise and she'll breath more easily ! Have you done the flapper mod and all that ?

I have no idea how to "smash the granny out the cat" lol. I dont even know the location of the cat. There is alot of work to be done including a value clearance service so it might be better to just hand it all into a mechanic to sort out.

When you take the link pipe off the down pipes you'll see it sitting there blocking everything ! You just drill the biggest hole you can through it and then set about it with a hammer and chisel until its all out !
