Few pics from today Coffee stop The swimming lake Ski area before lunch Lunch stop Hotel parking Town
Someone had to film the lads but credit to them as it was fecking cold trying to upload the video of Firebloke going in which is as funny as feck , a grown man screaming like a girl .
Is that Gary's new roof box for the blade behind the Fox. Who is definitely sucking it up in that shot, by the way.
Back in Vielha for second night. Great day and no rain all day. Few pics from today in France Still in France Just into Spain Long tunnel down yo ainsa Just outside Ainsa Lunch to keep fine dining Firebloke happy Scorching hot - this really is a great month to be away down here - this was in the shade Awesome view!
The mighty blade had suffered a failure! However Mr Honda can rest easy, it was a flash aftermarket Gilles rearset which shattered / fractured - however GaryB saved the day with a few cable ties - this repair completed in the middle of nowhere!
He is referring to my act of kindness by picking up his passport from the hotel table that he was quite happy to leave behind! The fact that I only gave him it back at Spanish passport control border with Andorra is quite irrelevant especially after letting him sweat a good while, while he frantically searched for it! Surely he should be thanking me!
Here is the thanks for the passport sly of hand incident which as Jay will say I was quite cool about and happy to nip back to Pas de la Casa to collect! http://s41.photobucket.com/albums/e288/bigaldupes/?action=view¤t=VID-20130917-WA0019_zps3cfb3820.mp4
Just say near border with France on my last petrol stop in Spain start to head north tomorrow. Great weather in Spain today but pyreneean wind almost made me drop bike at on point. About an hour back to digs via supermarket to get some wine as thankyou for use of the house last 2 nights. Lots of pics to follow - think the Firebloke is feeling more than a little tyred today...
Ok, quick update after my sat proper tour day. FRANCE was a little damp to start, but as we headed over col into Spain the weather changed. Headed down past Jaca and onto N240 towards Pamplona Headed on and needed a bite to eat and found this place, really busy with all sorts but great value for 3 course lunch and think even Firebloke approved of quality! Then headed up into mountains and Garyb got a serious shift on - me and Steve both seriously impressed. Stopped for my final Spanish fuel stop at a repsol garage plus a coffee and an oil level check! Then it was onwards for my final col into France - was getting late but that means light is great or pics Amazing evening view Now at my mates house drinking beer and BBQ food and crisps! All in all great final day - just a shame Gary set the town near where we are staying as the destination rather than where we are actually staying!
Well we've said good bye to Alblade today at Pau. We headed over onto the D-918 where we took in some breathtaking scenery whilst heading up the Col d'Aubisque. Pictures will follow on my full write up. Now the not such a good part of the day. Whilst taking in the views the horses came over. And one decided to knock my bike over. Crashed down onto the RHS. Usual damage. Bar end engine casing exhaust. Fortunately I'd already folded my mirrors in because said horse was using it as a chew. Gutted? Yep, for the first five minutes. That's touring I guess?
Ive dropped mine twice on touring… dare i say it, but it's part of biking dude! Gutted when it happened in Germany, but i was having a ball of a time and the guttedness lasted for about 5 mins….. Sad to hear it dude.
