I have an entry for myself and today's comedy of errors: - Day starts well. Up at 6am, family breakfast in bed & reading with Jr., then off to the gym - Get to the gym, decide to double check my diary. I've got the time of my 1st meeting wrong & don't actually have time to go to the gym....so I just have a shower there & get suited & booted - Doing my hair, bit sticking up at the back. No sweat, there's free hair gel....bugger....I accidentally hand soaped my hair. Have to have another shower & now running late. - Grab a coffe on the way out - Throw gym bag in boot - oh cock - I've left my laptop at home - Spill coffee getting in the car - Traffic on the way home is so bad, I abandon going home & go straight to the meeting - Buy a pad & pen on the way - Arrive 5 minutes late for meeting
There was something strange in the air today. The illuminated gear knob on the car refused to light up. I'm sure you'll all agree that life is not worth continuing without it so got home, threw some food in the microwave, ate it, cleaned up behind myself, wandered out to the car, googled "finding the lock tabs on the centre console of an MX5 mk 3.5". Got about half a million hits, most with pictures. Got it all apart, found the broken wire, stripped it, spliced it,soldered and shrink wrapped it. Put another layer of shrink wrap on it to stop it happening again. Put it all back together. Hoovered the car, washed it, polished it. Came in, fished out my dinner suit, found a dress shirt, first time, found a bow tie, first time, found cuff links, first time, found my Wayfarers, found a spare pair of Wayfarers. Ironed what needed to be ironed. All without stressy glitches, burns or arterial bleeding. I think I might go to bed now while I'm ahead of the game.
