I won't be there for 7 so let me know where you end up

Why get there so bloody early ? nothing happens till about 8:00 and its not a heavily sold day (only Inters is full, novice and advanced loads of space)

If I get there for seven I only just have enough time to unload the bike, set my stall out and sort out tyre warmers and pressures. Depending on the weather I may need to change wheels, along with swapping brake discs, signing on, noise test and a bit of a chin wag!.......Phew!!!!!!! Only just made it!!

Managed a tentative first session on slicks with a damp track then switched to full wets for next session. First time I have used wets and was not impressed! The bike felt like it had a hinge in the middle! My arse got a good soaking too! Then the track all but flooded so sacked the rest of the day off. There was still peeps going round in the deluge when I left.........but not the guy who binned his 62 plate R1 before he even got on track!! Must've spun it up on the out lane! Why would you take a bike like that on track on a day like this!!!

I dont think he wants to risk a criminal conviction for fraud so is going to pay to replace the parts - unfortunately its going to be a pretty long list - the thing would not run after he'd washed the mud off it and had to be trailered away.

It had traction control - and a fat lot of zero good it did him today....

Personally I'd have taken my chances with the conviction ;)

Yep - a good mate of a mate - older guy in his mid 50's

His wife did not want him to do the day after the fatal but he talked her round, on condition neither he nor the bike were damaged - oops...

He is a highly experienced road rider - and simply could not explain how it happened on the approach to the circuit - that's right he did it before even getting on the circuit proper.

He was amazingly calm over it - taking 'it can't be undone and can be fixed' approach - I'd have been fuming, but if you can't afford to repair / replace it don't take it on track

Well that's a shame for him. But surely if he didn't do it on the actual track.... A claim wouldn't be too bad of a thing. Lol

Hope he gets the bike sorted either way.

Yeah thats what i was thinking, if he didnt actually ger the bike on track, then whats wrong with pushing it out of the circuit boundary and making a claim?? He wudnt be defrauding anyone as he hasnt been on track??

just re-read post about getting to track - meant that he was not on the circuit proper, but the filter lane leading to it - from the line up area he prob did 200 metres to join the track

    Worry too much U do!

That R1 has GB Racing engine covers so no myther there, bar plastics the rest is just scratches!

The reason it won't start is nothing sinister it's just the Auto Fuel Cut off switch that'll need re-setting due to it having been on it's side!

Fine it will be young Skywalker! [IMG]

(Oh, and Jase, you'll not get RACE FIT eating that Shyte mate!) [IMG]
