Just got back. We lost the first session due to fog, but the rest of day was sunny. I didn't take any pics, although I do have the data from the Laptimer and and a video to upload.
Bit of a weird day for me. My fitness is all to cock so while I was fine in the morning, felt quicker than I'd ever been round there and considering moving in to inters, the afternoon was no where near as good. My legs were aching like fuck so I was moving about a lot less in the afternoon and my arms were starting to ache (dealing with a bit of tennis elbow too) so was gripping the bars too tightly causing weirdness in the corners. I'd also set the front tyre pressure wrong. The front should have been set at 30 cold according to bridgestone (it's an S22) but I misread it and set it to 33. It was great in the morning when it was cold but not so good in the afternoon. The front pushed going in to 6 but it stood up and I ran on. A bit later it slipped at 8. I'm guessing the part of this was the pressure being too hard but also to decreasing flexibility of my knackered body wasn't helping. It felt like I was going to drop it so erred on the side of caution and missed the last session. So, for next time I need to read the bloody pressure charts when I'm awake and get working on my fitness. Other than that it was a lovely day (except for the first hour)...
I checked the fork compression when I got home and the top of my zip tie is 14.5mm from the casting. The guy who does my suspension says that still gives me room before it locks so I'm guessing the problems I had with the front were either tyre pressure or tiredness, or both.
Always disappointed that my knee is no where near the floor despite the fact that it felt like it was on the day
Yeah it always feels like that. What you have to ask yourself is how much of your arse is actually off the seat. It needs to be at least a full cheek
It's a Dave Cooper trailer. Mine is the single collapsable 250kg one... http://www.davecooper.co.uk/trailers/trailers-for-bikes It's great if you haven't much room but isn't as easy to load as a bigger trailer as the rungs make it slightly more difficult. I quickly replaced the ramp with something longer. I can load and unload on my own but readily accept any help offered while unloading to steady it. I'm going to put some boards on it I think, to make it a bit easier to use single handed.
