While on the subject, I thought I would add the pic of my 1994 RRS. I bought this 2 years ago as my first bike for 30 years, she had 16k on the clocks but had only done trips to the MOT station and back for the 3 previous years, the year before that it only went to the IOMTT. I really wish I had kept her, bought for £1900 and sold a year later for the same. Less marks than my 2011 Repsol.

In 1992 the Fireblade shook the sports bike world wherby I bought two tri-colours the first was a slug the other a raving lunatic . The difference in performance was even highlighted in the press as to why there was such dramatic power figures. The first one dished out 101 bhp as standard then 106 with an end can, the other blade was 116 standard and with 119 with the same Micron can. The best of the early blades were 94-95 which had a more robust gearbox and better carbs as the diaphram on the 92-93 were on the flimsy side. The beauty of these bikes were without doubt that 16 incher it was so quick on the steering and hairy on exits but that was part of the fun.
