Indeed it was mate. I'm not going to say what the sinister side of me thinks.... Also not really fare without knowing the full situation and the dude not about to defend himself. Just hope all get their lift or money back.
They are all hand made in leeds , I've been to the workshop and seen all the individual parts that make the lift up. Maybe the problem is the material . Unfair of me to speculate what's wrong tho
I hope i get a positive out come because I'm looking forward to receiving the jack. Lets hope my next post on this thread is a picture of my bike floating above the garage floor
So what supplies could possibly be causing a delay? Made or assembled? Regardless, shit service that devalues the "made in Britain" tag IMO
Right here goes The lift is made from lots of raw materials that make it up, also the wheels as well which I believe are from the medical trolleys and very hard wearing. It's unfair for people to assume their money they've paid for a lift has gone towards the raw materials that make the lift etc etc. I've no idea what the problems are , all I can say is how they came across to me and gave me a tour of the workshop to see where they were made, set a lift up for my bike etc. I got my lift after 3 days. Very impressed with the service. Also Nigel had big hopes for the company and believes in a really good product. Rather than jump to conclusions I've put some ideas on here as to what may or may not be the problem. But in doing so ive left myself wide open and get flak directed my way. Hope everyone gets their lifts Me personally will not be commenting on this thread anymore. Goodnight
It may be just me, but if I was going into the bike lift business that was dependant on medical trolley wheels.... I'd stock up on them lol Sorry mate, know you had a good service and pleased with yours (you should be its a great product) doesn't excuse the fact dudes have paid and are looking at a 3 month wait. There is no feasible reason that I can see from what's been said other than they've used orders to set up and help cash flow. Could be way off... But seems more realistic than a lack of raw material. Just my opinion though
Your trying to give a rounded view and sharing your experience which is valued. You previously shared those experiences on this forum, which potentially added value to their business. No one, well me for sure is not suggesting your customer experience wasn't great. But, Carl's experience is shocking. I asked a question, that's not flack. I'll ask another- would you be happy paying for a product and waiting 3 months to then be told there's a supply issue? It's a bit of metal with wheels on, not a jet plane
Ask them here..... https://www.facebook.com/1JacBikeLift 1 Jac 16 December 2014 at 17:25 · . How many more sleeps??? If you ordered a lift from us from the NEC show please bear with us we are doing all we can to get those out who specified on ordering it was for a Christmas present On a separate note we have a couple of ex workshop lifts for sale, absolutely nothing wrong with them apart from a bit of a scratch on the feet, £250.00 delivered (UK), first come first served and delivery January active 10 hrs ago.....
What boils my blood even more about this was the underhanded way they came on this forum trying to deceive people with phantom reviews then when caught out tried to make a loyal forum member out to be a liar over his previous experience with them
Sounds like Norton. Taking people's cash and then buying the materials isn't right. A business which is that underfunded should be entirely upfront. If they were then no problem, you can ask for whatever your buying to be bespoke in some way which then adds value. Some of those Norton buyers waited almost two years to get their money back. Hope that this is only a glitch and you get your lift mate!
Shame as the ones I've seen certainly look well made, better than the version I have. Good luck sorting this Carl.
Sorry to hear this one's looking 'fragile' again, Carl. May be being daft, but have you thought of having a word with Andy about these? Warrior Spider Stand | Demon Tweeks I think we can all agree, he'll give you an honest answer.
Good afternoon everyone, this is Chris, I am the Operations Manager at 1 Jac Ltd I have read through the thread and would like to reassure anyone who has ordered a lift from us will receive it and I will hopefully answer your concerns here... No we are not going bust, on the contrary we are busier now than ever before. At the NEC show at the end of November we sold almost double what we sold at the show the previous year and to be fair this took us a bit by surprise, (although delighted!) to the point the last 3 days of the show we were explaining that dispatch would be 4-6 weeks which no one had a problem with. I manned the show with my director Gary for the 9 days and I dealt with all the order transactions. We are a small company based in Leeds and we make the lift/kits to order, we are not a big enough company to hold thousands of pounds worth of stock plus it would be virtually impossible as there are hundreds of kits depending on the make, model and year of bike. With regards to us not advertising on the forum since October last year that is correct and simply because we knew we would sell well at the show and didn't see the point, that also goes for me not posting since then as we are working day and night to get the lifts dispatched and I don't have the time. If anyone hasn't yet had their lift please call me on 0113 380 8979 (or email me at [email protected]) between 8am and 6pm and I will let you know when you will receive it. Whilst 1 Jac Ltd is small company and we have only been trading for two years I would like to think there are very few customers we have let down. This is the parent company who have been trading for over 50 years and for those who came to the show Gary (the small fat one!) this is his business - Broadley Group Please share this with anyone who hasn't yet had their lift delivered and I will sort it Many Thanks Chris Hiles
Carl, please give me a call on 0113 380 8979 and I will let you know where we are at with your order Chris
Thanks for the post Chris, it's reasuring that you are prepared to respond on an open forum, I was aware of your previous problems, however the 1jac looked good at the show and you presented your company profetionally. It is also noteworthy that within all the reviews the stand itself receives positive coments? I guess as time went by I became a little more concerned. I take my company to two shows annually, NEC and Olympia, Every contact will receive an email within two weeks of the show. Perhaps an email update would reassure your customers and avoid questions being asked. I look forward to receiving my 1jac Best Regards Carl
