I've been using these settings for 2 years now on my 13 plate, I'm 16.5st in normal clothes so probably 17st ish maybe a bit more in leathers, been perfect for me apart from rear pegs clipped my hugger with the Mrs on back. So I took her off with the daughter on it's fine
hi guys, sorry to bump old thread, but when adjusting preload on rear shock, if im at left side of bike am pushing spanner towards front of bike or back, its a 2012 showa stock, stumbled upon this thread gonna try them kais settings tomorrow.. ive ohlins in track bike so use to just doing from the top on preload adjuster... also is it just one click at a time or full revolution for 1 turn, wanna set to 6/10 as suggested in thread, not sure what is now.. ta
there are 10 notches in the underneath adjuster, if I remember right 1 is turning left (towards front wheel) through to 10 turning right(towards back) on the stand side of the bike, hope this helps
Sorry fella, but if you have to ask that maybe you shouldnt be playing with stuff! It is obvious when you look at the standard shock which way stiffens it up!
Whilst we're all enjoying this old thread, I might as well ask... Any reason these settings wont apply to my 15 plate blade? ...feel like giving them a try
No reason why not, don't think anything changed between 13 and 15 apart from rider position and small internal engine adjustments
For those with the 2017 - 18 Blades, I have found this informative: https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesoci...a-fireblade-sp-ron-haslams-track-set-up-guide
Funnily enough im fiddling tonight.. just added two turns of preload to get a 40mm setting in frt, rear was ok at 30mm
