Motorcycle Live has announced that visitors travelling by car to this year’s show (24 November-2 December) at the NEC in Birmingham will receive a £2 redemption voucher against the cost of their parking. The offer has been introduced following a recent increase in car parking charges at the NEC; an increase that organisers MCI Exhibitions felt was unacceptable for show visitors. Motorcycle Live visitors parking cars at the NEC will be given a voucher when they pay for their parking on the way into the complex and the voucher may be redeemed for £2 in cash in Hall 2 only during the day of the visit between 10.00am and 5.00pm. Visitors who booked their parking in advance will also be contacted and offered the chance of a £1 refund. Motorcycle parking remains free of charge at Motorcycle Live and visitors riding to the show can leave their machines securely in the Yamaha Bike Park in Hall 1. As usual, biking charity Riders for Health will also have its helmet park available. Finlay McAllan, managing director of MCIE, said: “We felt that the NEC’s recent increase in parking charges was too much for Motorcycle Live visitors this year. This is just our way of saying ‘thanks for your support’ to those travelling to the show by car this year.”
I don't think it was just the exhibitors at the show who had a good ole moan,i'm sure a lot of people got in touch and complained.Me included.... £10 to park there having a laugh.
Visitors who booked their parking in advance will also be contacted and offered the chance of a £1 refund.
kreiga us30 here too. This was enough for a week away in the IOM TT, all clothes, shoes, SLR cam and 5 lenses... I also threw 2 bottles of merlot in there. Very stable, and took it to 180+ this year on autobahn. Lovely.
We will have to meet up for a natter then. Shameless question here. But can the parking pass you have just aquired be used twice on the same day ?
No not really as i wouldnt want to make my mate pay the full £10 on his own. its ok i will just go halves. Where shall we meet . . kawasaki stand? lol
That's where we are such different people, I would ditch my mate to save a fiver lol, I will only have one space in the car unfortunately. I will PM my number send a text to arrange where to meet
