Well I've had a look on the Kriega website. I haven't looked around for deals yet, but I can get a drypack combo 20+10 for £130. I would still like a look at the Givi 4L tank bag to see if it would suit for the camera/valuables etc etc Thanks guys for the input. And Colin sorry for hijacking your thread with this stuff.
kreiga us30 here too. This was enough for a week away in the IOM TT, all clothes, shoes, SLR cam and 5 lenses... I also threw 2 bottles of merlot in there. Very stable, and took it to 180+ this year on autobahn. Lovely.
Don't see anyone singing the praises of another kind of luggage on here so passionately so Kriega it is then........best get looking
Personally the way I do things, the tail pack I put up would suit, but Al put it into perspective when you think about all the other stuff you carry around without even thinking about it. Had a look on YouTube at the Kriega stuff, and when you look at the price it comes very competitive to the other options. Si confirming you can carry two bottles of Merlot was the clincher though mate I would how ever still like a look at a small tank bag, for example the Givi 4l hard cased type, ideal for the camera, money, passport etc,I think it was Jimbo that said, only clothes shoes in the back, essentials in the tank bag, some thing easy to carry around. I agree the bigger the bag the further away it's going to get me away from the tank, and seeing as I've only just got used to moving about on the bike a bit, I'd not like to deter myself from that as I really felt as though it helped me progress my riding this year
What combination you looking for Gary? A 30L plus 20L ? It would be worth waiting 'til I've been to the bike show, might get a deal there.
I was looking towards the us30 dry pack. A combination of a 20 and a 10 ltr Steve. The website showed £130, sure postage will be extra? Edit. This one? http://www.kriega.com/uscombo30-drybag/
Lmao. gary, fwiw, I also used a very large bumbag together with the kreiga bags, it carried my weeks socks, undies, wallet, spare t shirt puncture kit, all documents, passport, money, spanners and other bits and bobs, and has a visor pouch for my clear visor. it was £15 from evil bay, an Oxford one.
Just rung Kriega in Chester (thank you Barney), the chap i spoke to, confirms they have a stand at the motorcycle live event, perhaps insentives to buy their products will be available, but not discounts, as this would be unfair to his distributors!
We'll see if the smell of readies wafted under his nose can persuade him and the threat of taking it to the Givi stand if he says no
tried that last year - think by memory they just display and dont sell as they have a pretty tight distribution network...
I ain't forgot about it mate. Me and Shiny were just talking about it 15mins ago. We honestly can't wait to do this and meet up with you guys for a good bit of banter.
