It won't be long in coming once we get back to work in the new year. Is it just me that's a little bit nervous/excited about this trip with so many blades?
I can't wait Colin , it will be my first time out with so many others , and it will most prob be my first ever tour so to speak , I just hope it's cracking weather , I dare say nearer the time I'll be thinking omg can I actually do this lol .
You'll manage it no probs. The views alone will keep you bright eyed and bushy tailed all the way. I can jut imagine being a driver going about his business, only for 20 blades to go tearing past. I know I'd near shit
THe views up there are just stunning - the roller coaster road from Breamar to Granton on Spey is epic and that's just day one - also the space - it really is a 'Big Country' as some band said a while back... Just parking up 20 Blades will be awesome - I may even get a new number plate to finish off my re-build
Lol Jimbo. Don't worry mate we all know you have a blade parked up in the garage. Besides I don't think many of us will see much of you once you get up and going.
As long as non-Blades park in a seperate area for photos all will be good... I was looking at route and while I have ridden it all. Still really looking forward to it. Given number going up from north west will have to see about a Thursday road trip to digs in hawick as loads of good options - depends on holiday available etc but perhaps early afternoon meet at lymm services or one up past blackpool/Preston?
I'm day off on the Thursday so I'm good anytime of the day. Just starting to go through the route myself writting down the directions etc. If anyone wants a copy when they are done more than welcome. I'll get Colin to confirm I got it right first though. It may well seem a little OTT but as some of the northwest guys well know, I do tend to well, shall we say, go solo at times
Yup i have booked thursday off so looking forward to a good run up to the sacred ground .The firebloke was waffling on the curry night about a run through Hawes .(Have they got tarmac down yet)?
Can we all think of a time to meet say at Lymm for all the boys south of Southport /Blackpool . We can avoid Blackpool as it will be pissing down and the roads will be greasy due to the amount of chip fat carried for miles by passing traffic.Ha!
Really looking forward to meeting up and having some good rides....that sounds wrong does n,t it. Having attended the last ride out on my Blade i have an idea of the fun to be had.
I'm off on the Thursday with Dave and Bruce s no doubt we will try and leave at 4am and not roll a single wheel on motorway Tarmac all the way to the meeting point - well if Bruce gets his own way anyway!!
