Not sure what I'm doing on the THursday - will aim to join you all, but if not i think you should all visit the Buddhist temple if you can - think its worth seeing as its so weird!

Also if time allows I would go from there to St Marys Loch for a brew before final push - although it misses out the A7 which is an awesome road!

Hey Stealth, my plan was to go up from Devil's Bridge via Tebay and Orton bypassing Hawes so either a meet at Devils or anywhere on the way to Hartside.

Ok guys just stepped back in the door from a little reccy on the Hizzys B&B and surrounding area.
First off sorry but no pics as it was pissing down and I didn't even get out the car.
What I can say is that you couldn't have picked a better place to stay. From the B&B there is a Morrisons supermarket 200 yards down the road, the main street with plenty of pubs, shops eating places 200 yards the other direction, and a large Indian Tandoori restaurant directly across the road from the B&B.

There are also a few other B&B's within spitting distance incase anyone else wants to come on their own accord. (I'll pm Stealth just now with some details of 1 that's 3 doors up).

Also once leaving the B&B you are 300 yards from the A7 which will take you straight to the meeting point for the rest of the trip.

Al, as much as I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to St. Mary's Loch and the Buddhist Temple I don't think it can happen on the way up , not enough time and Jimbo's arse will be red raw by then anyway
Certainly on the way home if anyone has the time I'd be up for it again.

Just an idea? as we are all pretty much setting off from Hawick? would it much of a problem for Colin to meet us there rather than Galalashiels? a quick look on earth and the streets seem a bit tight for 20+ motorbikes to stop safely? unless colin has an ideal spot already lined up? if so please excuse this post.

Ideal place at 9.30 in the morning. Hhhmmmm. McDonalds coffee and a bite to eat before setting off sound good? ;)

Well for me atleast, you will all have been fed at hizzy's. I'll be there fed and ready for 9.30.

Not a problem, we'll be making a stop at Hartside, not sure of times just yet, I would think around 3 o'clock.

just been having a look at the last few pages your scotland tour and seen you are staying in hawick you,s probs all know but if you dont have a look into to the museum in wilton park TD9 7JL, just along the road from where you are staying they have a display downstairs for steve hislop some of his old bikes his virgin r1 and his first yam tz250 that he firsted raced at the tt is there and all his trophys and leathers and photos and up stairs they have a display for late great jimmy guthrie tt hero that died in 1937 on a track in germany, also if you walk out the main door take a right along the path in the park and they have two full size bronze statues of hizzy and guthrie great for a picture.
have been up to the museum 3 times now as hislop was a great hero of mine and i bet some of you,s also? it is great display for these two late great tt stars!!!
thats me finished waffling on anyway just thought that you,s would be intrested in going if you havent already?

    Great info there Bubba

Never even knew about it. If I did I would've taken a walk around today for sure.
I'll just need to take a run down on the bike in the better weather for a squint around.

    Thanks
