Make it simple for my sake Giv, remember I'm stupid enough to ride for 4hrs with only fuel stops to then stop twice in around 30 mins apart.
Forton was mentioned at the bottom of one of my posts yesterday, As I said before, we don't even need to stop at Whams lane, Steve will set off as the first bikes appear around the corner Its Just a matter of knowing who's the last man in the group and a simple hand up from the last rider to acknowledge and I'll bring up the rear.
Totally get that mate, wasn't questioning the meet with you and Steve. Just got the impression Forton and Whams Lane are two different places, that Forton was the main meeting point not Lymms (Outside the main door, by the toilets, at 11.30......) So we'd meet Giv at Forton and not Lymm's (where I, Jimbo etc was always planned to meet). Giv's started a new thread with no mention of Forton, so clear now. Apologies if I've caused a load of confusion by asking the question, I'll get back in my dim box.
Only teething problems Dave. Bound to happen as it gets closer, the threads getting pretty scattered now, and having to read back so far to get the gist of a story isn't helpful. Internet forums are great, but you'll never beat sitting down over a beer. My post probably didn't help?
Av been out tonight getting a bit more done to the bike to get it ready for T-Day(Tour-Day), Given I wont actually be on Blade I thought I should make my bike stand out a bit so barney can get some good shots of the imposter! Anyway Lastweek I touched in some stonechips n tonight was the completion of that Job! Lil pic after taking sand paper to the high spots! Pic after some compounding. pic showing some reflections. I still have the finishing compounding sets to do then its getting covered in venture shield after that she's ready for the trip me thinks!
Almost by magic we would not have the courage to put sand paper near the bike . On a positive note glad its not today as its absolutely hammering down with rain up there today .
With next weeks trip fast approaching I thought I'd just say a huge thanks to all that have taken the lead to organise everything, from the Hotels, to routes and meeting points. Roll on next week.
Thanks boys nice comments like that make it all worth while ,and I will be thinking of this message when I am hauling ass up the. M6 keeping the pack together
