Ok guys I have edited the first post again to show the booking details of the third nights stay. Final numbers for this stay will have to be set as soon as possible as I will need to book and pay £20 deposit for each room. I will travel down there possibly Sunday and pay the deposits if I can get a definate number of people staying. I'll also take some pics of the free bike storage and rooms while I'm there.
Theres only so many bikes that can be nicked at once, all your bikes will no bout look better than mine after the journey from Kent, so I'm relaxed!
THis is video link to me on the Scotsburgring - Jamie Whitham's favourite road in the UK, needs respect as been known to bite back (forresty truck debris on apex / crest that dropped left) All I ask if we do this loop is that everyone respects the 30 limit through Kinlochleven at the end - takes 2 mins to go through town then back in the nationals - don't want them complaining about bikers on it and have it ruined. Also stunning place for a photo (will try and find some to give you an idea) Part 1
I would like to congratulate Colin for this fantastic thread, he has put so much work into it. you can count me in for joining you for at least one leg of the tour, it would be rude not too as its in my backyard, it couldn't commit to staying the night as i have my own trip to the TT at the end of may. I will continue to follow the thread with interest.
Not all me mate. GaryB and Alblade have been excellent in guiding me through this. If it wasn't for them the info for this trip would be all over the thread and a nightmare to navigate.
Cracking road Al. I'm not sure if I've been on it or not on the bike, but I know I've fished there before. Shame your mate came off.
Dude, only my mum calls me David when I've been naughty. We're gonna be in the middle of sheep, hills, roads n stuff. It's a bike, not your child
Was funny - earlier in the day mates really taking p!ss for all the crap I carry, suddenly the cable ties, multi tool gaffer tape and spare allen key to make a new gear change level were quite handy - and everyone had to eat fair old slice of humble pie shall we say.. You can see the patched up bike in this film at about 2 mins 20 seconds in - plus a few other places we will get to on the trip
Hi Colin, I'm still on it mate but only able to follow the thread from Marrakech. When I get home on Monday I'll sort out payment. Do you accept Morrocan durum?
Is anyone on here closer to the starting point able to let me leave my car in their drive if I tow my bike up on a trailer?
