If it was like a tractor you are riding it wrong.
You have to ride a Ducati completely differently to any other bike, once you click and understand how they work you realise how involving they feel.

Am sure they will try the "twins are different" approach a'la Norton and the rotaries of years gone by. There's also the 125/250 inline 4/2 stroke difference in Moto 3.

1199R will be kept for racing purposes until ducati twists dorna's arm enough to allow the 1299

That's what I was thinking and if that happens we will all be riding 1100cc fireblades soon ;)
    Bring it on :D

Gotta admit that the panigale a IMO is the best looking bike on the road, and one of the fastest . However there ain't the reliability of a jap bike. And they cost silly money. Don't think anybody can argue with this statement.

Ducati's are no more unreliable as any other brand these days. People seem to think back to the early days when electrical gremlins were the main culprit.
I have had quite a few Ducati's and the worst thing I had was a knackered rectifier on my 996 and that was many years ago.
It doesn't matter what make of bike you will find a few that have had a problem with them.

Its actually got less torque than my highly modded 1997 air colled Buell:D and a lot quieter;)
But it does have a fair few more ponies:(

Lovely bike and as a lover of twin engines its the pinnacle of the genre.
    Still love my blade though

I do love my Ducati, don't love putting belts on the bitch but I love to ride it! And when your not riding it you can look at the old girl. Plus the sound! Love it, on the road in traffic I hate it, fast B roads it's like a bloody scalpel.

"only" 130 BHP but make my blade feel flat in the midrange! And light! Puts power down where the blade just wants to kill you.

I do like these a lot, even the 899 tickles my pickle.

Just can't imagine using it all that much though you know?!

I don't see that these would go out much on anything other than the best of days summer has to offer.

Haven't seen many with the miles on them either, although i'm sure somewhere someone must use one a lot..
