Very impressed, you'll not be disappointed. We didn't get chance to play with the settings, would have eaten into track/road time. My only criticism was on initial throttle opening it could be a bit jerky much like the MT09 if anyone has ridden one. This would be more noticeable during road use when aiming for smooth progress. On track not an issue.

It's sounds bloody lovely with the Akra slip-on even better with the system just a shame the system looks shit in my opinion but speaking with Dean Harrison apart from completely modifying the brakes and suspension all they did was to fit a link pipe and slip-on.

Reassuring to know the bikes electronics are helping you go quick but stay safe got me out of trouble a couple of times when going in a bit too quick into the corners.

Can't stop raving about it to customers it's brilliant and as I've said before if anyone has the chance to try one reckon you'll be seriously tempted. It's fast.

The Blade (Honda) have a lot to do and to be honest think Honda are too reserved to take up the challenge, I hope so but we'll see. The Blade unfortunately and I love mine feels in a different league something from a bygone era. However for long distance touring with luggage etc still think the Blade is a great road bike but does that make it a Supersport anymore or a Sport Tourer ?

Cheers for the report. They said simular on the mcn. Will be putting the link pipe in to improve but did sound ok with slip. I do want to use it on the road but it's mainly going to be for the track. I'm booked on at donni on Tuesday and tempted to roll it out the van and stretch it's legs :)

No test ride Matt and couldn't find a demo. On a bit of whim really because of the reviews and package etc. My pals s mechanic at Milwaukee and some of the info he's been given me makes it phenonminal. I think Yamaha are losing Alot of money on every bike but want to be bsck at the front of the litre bsck class .

We can use mine as the 1000rr demo bike

I asked as i'm hearing there is great demand for the bike as you would expect and dealers are not giving test rides. I want to test ride the bike but in no rush so hope to get out on one later this year

Unfortunately if Yam did offer a demo bike they would need 80 bikes which would push production back 8-10 weeks then loose a lot of potential sales time at the most important time of the year, not making the same mistake when they released the MT09 in October.

They could always do what Suzuki are doing with the new GSX-S1000 and get a couple of bikes out there to share amongst the dealers which is happening next week.

No doubt about it a demo would boost sales but it's swings and roundabouts for Yam.
