Wow lucky MCN are there to settle everyone's concerns. That should put paid to no hope riders like Jamie Whitham who was heard explaining today how at WSBK the riders have the throttle pinned on the exit and let the electronics handle it as that is a faster/better way then in the likes of BSB where electronics are effectively banned.

Hopefully Dorna, MotoGP and WSBK will recognise their mistakes and remove it from the systems in order to help riders goes faster and safer. Remind me again what happened to Pedrosa when Marquez removed his real wheel speed sensor?

What is so frustrating is that ALL Honda have to do to settle all these issues is to make the Calibration Interface available on the street bike.

    That is it - period.

The Calibration Interface that is available in the HRC ECU/Dash Combo allows you to cycle through sprocket tooth counts and adjust tyre sizes in 5mm increments.

You then press the back button and the changes are saved. You ride off into the sunset with the now updated sprocket tooth count and tyre sizes stored and the Autoblipper, Quick Shifter and Traction Control are all happy to funciton as designed.

Of course installing the HRC ECU requires throwing out all street gear, including side stand, lights, standard kill switch and ABS as well as Ohlins Electronic Suspension.

The best you can hope for a a TT/Irish Roads Superstock setup. Which is in and of itself fantastic, just not street legal in any way shape or form.

Any Honda dealership that says tyre size changes or sprocket tooth count changes make no difference and will not cause issues with the QS, Autoblipper and Traction Control system are liars and idiots.

It is right there in the bloody Honda service manual that the FIRST thing to check if any QS, Autoblipper, ABS or Traction Control issues are experienced then CHECK the tyre size and sprocket tooth count and retrun to stock if need be.
Then retest and determine if error is resolved.
    If not replace ECU etc.....

after speaking to a guy at the weekend with a standard bike i would be so much more tempted to buy the standard bike and throw on the shiny parts with the saving on the price with no hassles what so ever.
he's had a 200 secttion slick on with -1 +2 gearing and no problems and says the bike is spot on

    Standard 2017+ CBR?

Then he is either full of it or has never actually pushed the bike hard when stock and has a point of reference as to how the bike responds to various situations.

All models of SC77 CBR have exactly the same Traction Control/Wheelie Control ECU algorithm. Only the 2019 is slightly changed to allow separate data table manipulations for WC and TC. (makes me wonder why they wont do the same with the currently locked Calibration Interface tables)

All use the same gear box speed sensor, engine rpm and wheel speed and IMU sensor inputs.

ABS, Quick Shift and AutoBlipper are all over lay add-on style systems.

This is why you can add Honda QS/Autoblipper after the fact.

I suspect the bloke you spoke to is not being 100% truthful.

Why would want to change tyres or gearing for the track? The add says the CBR Fireblade comes "fully equipped" . LOL

Why do you have Whitham down as a "no hope rider"?

3 official letters went in this week to Honda U.K. and our local dealer, on the pretext of us being miss sold the bikes and them not being fit for purpose, we are having a game of pass the parcel at the moment. No shock there. Wait and see

Crazy thing is all they need to do is cut open the calibration interface.

    That's it.

You know the way Yamaha, Kawasaki, Aprilia, Suzuki and Ducati do.
