Haha I've booked a test ride on the MT-10 on Saturday, it will only be round Rothbury roads though as I'm fairly familiar with them.
Is that the GSXR? They have that test ride event on up there don't they, I've never been up Hartside for ages, lots of nutters were running up there at one point, I prefer the other side down to Penrith tbh, I think it's a bit more technical.
Hope the weather clears up and ride safe :)

Yeah i just got the email through about thr event and was planning on heading up that way anyways. Plus its an oppertunity to see what the competition feels like next to the blade.

Ive had a few dodgy moments from others when going up to the cafe, you see a few people sitting at the entrance waiting for bikes to leave so they can hunt them down and then return and wait for someone else. Someone tried to pass me at the start of this year by cutting the corners before that hairpin, he nearly lost it right beside me and could have took us both out.

Last time I was up there some bloke had a go at me at the cafe for cutting him up (his words) before the last set of bends, I'd overtaken a couple of cars and he was coming up that last sort of straight at stupid speed, he'd had to brake as I was ONLY doing about 80, I always do the lifesaver but I wasn't expecting anyone approching a group of traffic at that sort of speed, he said inexperienced riders should always give way to more experienced riders, I tried to point out that he wasn't on the track and should calm down before he becomes a statistic and takes someone else with him, I don't think he took my advice

The roads up there are so good that the highway code and common sense gets left behind. We are all guilty of giving it some but you have to respect the other road users space if you want to be riding well above the speed limit.
