I’m trying to find the circumference of the 190/55/17 Bridgestone R11? Not sure if anyone on here could locate it, I have tried emailing there tech team. Be interested to see how close it is to the sp
But its nothing useful. No indication of size per bike and response per bike. Is this part of a magazine? Without bike specific data the video just click bait really.
The only useful thing is it’s a 55 profile tyre that is track Orientated and I’m trying to work out of it’s closer to the o.e tyre size for another option on track. Can’t find any tyre size information online and Bridgestone ain’t playing
So I’ve put a 190/50/17 on the rear and guess what, false neutral from 5th to 4th not only on my bike but 2 others I’m riding with. I thought this was going to be our golden ticket to having the downshift back on. Back to using the clutch again. Booooo
Gee, you've had no end of problems with this. Weird that the standard makes it act up, unless you've changed a heap of other settings.
No mate, just been out again tried turning the quick shifter to setting number 1 on up and down. 5 laps in miss shift. The other chaps have turned the down off for good Now. So have I that was scary
That was one of the main reasons my mate had his bike replaced by Honda. He kept getting false neutrals, even sent him into the gravel on track, expecting engine braking going into a corner and nothing there. That was a 2017 sp and they changed it for an 18 plate bike. Can only assume there was an upgrade whether mechanical of software based when manufacturing the 18 plate bikes.
If there was an upgrade, I don't think Honda made anything public. And understandably so!! They'd been tainted enough without bring the problem(s) to the public's attention again.
You guys still wont listen. This is not hard to understand. The Autoblipper downshifting (separate function to QS up-shifting) is DIRECTLY influenced by actual vs perceived vs calibrated gearing. Period. Done. Complete. Finis. If you fuk with the gearing in any way then Autoblipper WILL disable itself at the exact moment it cannot correctly determine wheel speed vs geared transmission speed. This is why you may get a few Autopblipper downshifts in before you are left high and dry then it seems to work again. This is how Honda designed the system. Yes, they screwed us over. Yes your ONLY answer is the HRC ECU that gains access to the tire size/sprocket size menus.
Is the tyre the tyre Honda sells on the bike? Is the tyre within their secret margin of rolling circumference range they specificy (being sarcastic here as we don't know what the margin of error can be). The lack of Autoblipper behaviour is indicating that there is a math problem with the speed portion of the formal.... Or..... the rider is not closing the throttle completely. Autoblipper will disengage if there re is ANY throttle dialed in during the gear change action. QS will be bypassed if the clutch is lever is pulled enough to trigger the clutch position sensor switch during the gear change action. In any event, the bike is behaving exactly as Honda intended it to - the real issue is this NOT how we WANT the bike to behave Honda screwed us over.
Yes it’s the factory Pirelli sp on the bike. As for the other points it’s hard to be 100% sure but in my mind it was closed throttle and definitely no clutch
So carried out a dtc clear on 2 of the bikes and no more false neutrals for 2 sessions. Not sure wether it’s anything we done or just luck? But it was happening every few laps for each bike.
