They are limited like the BMW HP4 and all the others. Even in 2016 you still could buy the "Final HP4 Edition" in Germany. In 2015, you could get every HP4 option and more on the new S1000RR. The R1M is "limited" every year twice. For how many years? A limited version in my opinion should have at least a number engraved like No 01 // 500 etc. Otherwise it’s just another way to make money and that's it.
I'm very tempted on a ex dem 2016 SP TT. The new model doesn't look impressive enough to warrant £6k more. But a 2017 would be nice.
If was me which it isn't so can tell me to fukk off. But it could be worth the 6k if ur in the position to buy new. Due to resale and gizmos it may come with could all be well worth it. It is everything I would want on a bike, I hope it's as good as it seems for the people who do buy one.
Well, this is what Honda needed to do. If it rides nicely it'll be be a massive massive bike for them. Tempted...love my Superduke but the blade looks quite small and the missus might not notice. Expect UK prices to start high then go up after stupid bloody brexit is 100% confirmed to be happening......
Some info regarding Homologation Specials - and changes for WSBK 2017: http://www.bikesportnews.com/news/n...the-homologation-special-what-happens-in-2017
I am amazed ! A few runs at Santa Pod, agreed - and not forgetting the other 14,000 miles that I have done on it in just over a year. Mine even sounds different going over the Alps, last time in the rain it struggling a bit for power - quite sensitive to changes in how the bike sounds after spending long periods on it. Then this new motor, that we are told is a Fireblade, has wider throttle bodies, higher compression ratios, lighter weight, and it revs higher ! I am not saying I can dyno test every single motor ever created, just by hearing it - but comparing a new higher compression, higher revving Fireblade motor to mine - that I have just done over 14,000 miles on - is surely not such a difficult call ?
Who reckons they'll fit cruise control as an option?? If they don't it'll fall short for some maybe? Given the rave reviews about it on the BMW S1000RR!!!
Buy a pan European if you need cruise control ,,,handy if u commuter but not for me on country roads...
