I think the bike is overpriced and the £750 Honda contribution is crap as well. At that price I would of expected better offers but we don't know what the dealers will do on the day!
"PCP offer running until April 30th with a montly payment of £119 and a dealer deposit contribution of £750" Odd that they are offering a "dealer deposit contribution of £750" on a new model before it is even released - I can understand it for older models to clear stock. It doesn't help people who buy their bikes outright. How about knocking £750 off the list price Honda?! Even that would still make it expensive compared to the ZX10R etc.
The PCP offer until April is a sales gimmick, do they really think people are that stupid that they will come rushing in before the April deadline to get a Blade in instalments. They will always offer the PCP at the prices the bikes are being sold at as they make so much money from the interest. Never liked buying anything from places which do such bullshit sales ploys. Wish there was such a thing as a honest salesman!
Yes I do. The amount of guys at work with 15 plate model SP's on PCP is unreal. We got 3 that i know off and they say their mates have got ones as well!! They don't care it doesn't make financial sense. They get a new bike and only have to find £100 per month. Two of them are already talking about finding ways out of their current PCP deal to start a new PCP on the new blade (go figure!!??) Honda aren't stupid - unit sales are king!
With PCP can you do as many miles as you want, Mod it, take it on track or do what want to it, never done PCP, always bought cash so I dont rally know about PCP, ALWAYS though it was basically renting and you give it back as you bought it or pay a lump sum to own it? do enlighten me please?
Looked a PCP last year but the financials never made any (financial) sense. I don't think mileage is an issue - but you need to give the bike back as you got it. So any mods need to be removed or chucked in when you return in. If you take out PCP you need to put down a deposit of say £2500 to £3000 (dealer might add some money towards this). Then pay a set amount each month for 3 to 4 years (typically 3). At the beginning of the PCP deal the dealer will offer you a Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) for the bike. At the end of the term you can either walk away (lose everything); buy the bike outright or use the GFV to start another PCP deal. This is why manufacturers love PCP as it ties you into the brand via the GFV loop. But the counter argument is that you get a NEW bike every 3 years (but never own it). I think from a DVLA point of view - you are the owner (not the dealer). That's basically it - other peeps may be able to add/refine it further.
_________________________ My understanding on PCP. You are not tied in with any brand, you can part ex wherever you want. Be aware that the GTV isn't your full deposit for your next PCP, the finance company have first dibs on your GTV (or trade in value). Any money left over goes towards your deposit for your new PCP. The dealer may even deduct excess wear and tear from your GTV, ( I'm not sure about that one) Maybe PCP should have its own thread.
Not that I would but not most people have 15k plus so pcp is the only way look st the car market you used do have to have a decent wage to have a merc or BMW now there as common as a Ford Focus ....even a new mini is 29k plus it's gone mad..,.,but as long as the sheep want it they will do whatever it takes..after all were only here once and if if names your heart go boom....then do it

Positive and glowing reviews from all. They weren't really gushing over the standard model but raving over the SP. I'm beginning to fall in love with that Matt black one
It is the best looking blade of the new shape! I like the sp specs but not the colour scheme, think Honda miss the trick sometimes with colour schemes in only offering the high spec bikes in either repsol or hrc colours
Picked up my mates new bike today from Salisbury, S1000RR .... was bloody freezing! But what a bike its last of the second gen with only 3k and some brand new tyres but what a superb bike to ride! Definitely something I'm going to consider for my next bike, just wish it had been double figures and warm dry roads so I could have exploited more of its potential....
shocking price for the new base model. I was probably going to be tempted if it was £13500 ish, but no chance at that price. New gixxer I reckon then, if I can get a guarantee that it will get fixed under warranty if (when) it goes wrong, unlike my last 2014 750. Suzuki customer service sucked!
Must admit,It does look nice. Has anybody seen the other SP2 on e bay, 2007 model with 0 miles, £24,999.
