Said from the beginning that Honda are going to lose a lot of sales based on price and specifications! unless it's some kind of ground breaking bike! Can't see that if I'm honest... I'm not in the market but if I was it's definitely going to be S1000RR as my next tool
Reviews coming through sounding positive! Going to be interesting to see how it holds up during the group tests.
Samantha, "I will be getting the best bike money can buy, it's only going to cost me about £150 a month if I part ex my blade. " I will keep the bloon payment bit quiet
Bike looks and sounds great. BTW Northerners..it is pronounced Portimao (as in Chairman Mao) not "Porty-mayo" unless someone dropped some Hellmann's out on track.
looking forward to the group tests, then if they make a Blue one they might even tempt me away from my R1 and back to the Honda family roll on the testing price is around the same as most sport litre bikes, so thats not a problem, if its worth it? what's a few hundred quid here and here!
Looking forward to seeing how it performs against the new GSXR and the BMW, but particularly the GSXR
Many thanks Ian good to watch makes me miss home even more and my bike...keep posting any clips as I may miss them here in Saudi and I really enjoy watching them...cheers...
A quick question for you folks, quick shifters? I have never used one or rode a motorbike with one on. I am aware that they offer the rider clutch free upshifts without need to close the throttle. On the new SP it also has downshift assist? I can imagine you would need to close the throttle off for that? Does this mean now you only need a clutch when you move off and come to a stop? Looking at the embedded video clips the quickshifter makes it sound brilliant.
