I was reading a piece recently that was saying that some financial experts were predicting that pcp would be the next sub prime scandal due to people that couldn't/ shouldn't be able to afford it, driving or riding vehicles that they really couldn't afford.
Oooo... that'll have the.....Owed Comp Sharks ( sorry...solicitors) ' Eaten a dodgy kebab & shite yourself inside out on holiday.com' lot rubbing their hands together
I thought this weeks was a bit more expensive, sure they charged me £2.90 instead of £2.30. Great double page picture of Casey Stoner wheeling the Ducati though.
Saw both RR & SP in the flesh for the first time last weekend. Feels lighter perhaps it's just me but the quality of finish is very sub par, 3 different colour reds on 3 fairing pannels and shoddy looking aluminium castings, the bike seemed as though it was a bit of a rush job. Not what I expect for this price bracket. RSV4 / Ducati really are leagues ahead in terms of build quality.
I saw the bike in the flesh today, for the first time - showroom open on Sunday, so went and had a look. I thought it looked fine, at 'only' £12,789 here in GBG land ! Also today, gave mine a thorough spring clean. It has come through its second winter of use in very good condition. At the Cafe, saw a ZX10R, that is not as old as my CBR, and the paint on the top yoke, near the ignition, is coming off - probably from the key fob rubbing at the paint, until it is rubbed off I have used a leather dealership key fob since new on my CBR, and it has not worn away the paint on the top yoke, like has happened to that ZX10R.
Seems the new SP1 has come top on the MCN 2017 Sportsbike shootout! 1. Sp1 2.1299 Pani S 3. S1000rr 4. R1m 5. Gsxr1000r 6. Rsv4 rf 7 zx10 rr
Nice video but he's not really singing it's praise is he. "It's a fast bike" Er yeah it should be, it's a 1000cc sportsbike. "It's virtually all the 08 bike" except for the £6k price hike. "Doing 60 is as exciting as 160mpg" the CBR600 will do that for a lot less money. Sorry I love my 14 Blade but when it's paid for (not pcp) in November I'm either keeping it or going for the GSX or the base S1000RR.
Nah... You don't really lose lot when handing back a PCP if you can't afford it. I think after 2 years they can't even consider it to be breaking the contract... (IIRC from when I got my last car anyway) It's not like you live in it...
Form him is a bit bais because he have a tricked out to almost the max Blade already and surely any road inline 4 will not feel any where near impressive compare to it. If i just want a track monster I would definately not go for a blade, but as a road bike and some trackdays its perfect This weeks MCN have reviewed the fireblade to be on top, followed by 1299 panigale then s1000, then R1M, new gsxr........ definately worth having a read.
Wasn't it a similar sort of thing that nearly bought Harley Davidson to its knees during the crash.....and I don't think you live in Harley's either.
I think we just have to wait until the new Blade is on the street for a while. Also, most of the Motorcycle Magazine in different countries will have a "Shootout" and I am going to read them all. It's a personal choice for everybody but to compare the new Blade, you have to have a test ride on all the other new bikes as well.
I think if I was going down the 20k route it would have to be the Ducati for me ....the last one I had was a event and I couldn't wait for the sound.....although I ride the blade quicker and easier but I might return to the red side...
